"I
would highly recommend Brian Vaughan. He performed our ceremony one month ago. He is a very flexible inter-faith minister."
~Julie M. married by Brian in 2001
"Brian was a very sensitive, calming presence in our ceremony and really offered up some great suggestions
for how to include our children in a "blended family" ceremony. We took his advice about certain aspects of the ceremony
and gifts to be presented to the children and all went beautifully.
We thoroughly enjoyed and were blessed to have him officiate our special wedding.
I
am happy to recommend you. Thanks again for making our wedding so special." Shelley. Married
by Brian July, 2005.
"It
was so interesting to watch Brian at work during John and Kim's wedding ceremony. I was able to see how his years of
experience really made the difference. The wedding planner was having a melt-down and all the arrangements seemed to
be falling apart but Brian just kept his cool, improvised, and managed to keep everyone calm. The whole thing turned
out beautifully. And none of the guests ever knew that anything had ever gone wrong. It was a miracle. I watched
the whole thing and I still don't know how he did it. Very impressive" Jennifer- wedding guest at Kim and John's wedding May,
2005
"Given a chance to provide a reference for Brian Vaughan, I quickly jumped at the opportunity. Since our wedding ceremony was exactly 3 weeks ago today, things are still very fresh in my mind. I could
probably write pages and pages of wonderful things, but I’ll try to only hit the finer points.
My husband and I spent five months trying to find someone
to marry us in a religious ceremony. In a perfect world, we would have been married
in a Catholic Church, but we all know how that is not allowed if one has been divorced.
So our search began with ministers of other religious faiths—Methodists, Baptists, Episcopalians, Lutherans and
even the oddly named churches that tout being Christian but fall somewhere short of dancing with snakes and speaking in tongues.
The search
was long and exhaustive. Unless we agreed to join their church, most of them
wouldn’t even talk to us. The only one that met with us wanted us to immediately
run off and get married and then LIE to our family and friends. We were later
to have the public ceremony and they wouldn’t be the wiser, right? I refused
to start my marriage off with a lie--no matter who told me to do it.
Then someone told me about CITI and Rent-a-Priest. At first, I thought they were joking. There
I found Brian and everything changed. Brian was responsive. He didn’t judge us or make us feel guilty like the others had.
He merely wanted to help. He met with us and tirelessly worked with us
to customize the wedding of our dreams. He sent us draft after draft of the ceremony
so we could change and modify the wording to our desire. He was wonderful and
so patient. Brian met with us as many times as it took to make us feel comfortable.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful. We had our religious ceremony as well as a personalized version that made us feel special and truly a part
of it all. Even family members who had doubts came away from it in awe and realized just how exceptional it was. I heard nothing but positive comments about Brian and the ceremony from all who attended. He made our special day truly a day to remember. Brian is
a gifted, wonderful person whom I would be privileged to call friend."
